Paul is responsible for ensuring the Company's corporate functions, including technical and operating services, information systems and human resources are aligned with the strategic goals of Pembina.
Paul's most recent position was Senior Vice President, Pipeline & Crude Oil Facilities. In this capacity, Paul oversaw the safe, reliable and responsible operation of Pembina’s Conventional Pipelines Business Unit (CBU), Oil Sands & Heavy Oil Business Unit (OBU) and a portion of the Midstream Business Unit (MBU). He also oversaw the Company’s Major Projects and Operating Services departments.
Paul joined Pembina in February 2011 as Vice President, Conventional Pipelines. In this role, Paul oversaw Pembina's crude oil and natural gas liquids pipelines and related facilities throughout Alberta and British Columbia. He managed all aspects of CBU, including its safe and environmentally responsible operations, business development opportunities that increased throughput and enhanced revenues, and led the implementation of Pembina's three year strategic plan for both CBU and Pembina as a whole.
Paul has over 35 years of related experience in hydrocarbon exploration, processing, NGL extraction and transportation. Prior to joining Pembina, he was a business unit Vice President with Inter Pipeline Fund, prior to which he was the Executive Director of the NGL extraction business unit for Williams Energy (Canada) Inc. Paul has also held several management positions with major transportation and processing companies. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Calgary and is a member of APEGA.
He serves as the Chair of the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association.
Paul also sits on the Pembina Incident Review Panel and serves as an Officer of Pembina Pipeline Corporation.
